One year ago, Houston Spike Series started with a simple goal—to build a volleyball community where players of all skill levels could compete, connect, and have fun.
Since then, we've hosted league nights, welcomed dozens of teams, crowned our first league champions, and built a community that continues to grow every season.
The First Serve Classic is our way of celebrating that incredible first year and saying thank you to every player, captain, supporter, and volunteer who helped make it possible.
Whether you've been with us since day one or you're joining us for the first time, we can't wait to celebrate with you on the sand.

- Each Team Plays Every Team in Its Pool Once

- First Serve at 8:45 AM
- Pool Play Finishes Around 10:15 AM
- Playoffs Are Best 2 out of 3
POOL PLAY TIEBREAKERS
Each pool match is a single set, so set differential is not used. Standings are decided in order:

- 4Head-to-Head
PLAYOFF FORMAT
Playoffs begin once pool play is complete, standings are finalized, and seeds are determined
- 1All 6 teams advance to the playoffs
- 2Pool winners receive the #1 and #2 seeds with first-round byes
- 3Remaining teams seeded #3 through #6
- 4Quarterfinals: #3 vs #6 and #4 vs #5
- 5#1 and #2 seeds play the quarterfinal winners
- 6Semifinal winners advance to the Championship
- 7All playoff matches are Best 2 out of 3
